What's new with Pegasus

This week has been a little hard for the big guy.  Monday he had to go to the Vet and have his bandages changed and on a dog his size it's a little stressful so they have to make him a little sleepy.  He also had to get some stitches on the leg as well, he had some swelling and that with the bandaging created a cut that needed attention.

Once we got him home again he was a little groggy but as of today he is his self again.  I can tell you that this boy is a trooper.  He never complains or whines.  He is just so patient and sweet.

He really wants to be a lap dog.

He also LOVES to lay in the yard.

Oshkosh Pegasus

We picked up Pegasus last Thursday (September 15, 2016).  When we arrived he was in his kennel laying down with a splint on his leg.  We got him up and loaded him in the truck.  He jumped right up into the backseat and laid down ready for the ride.

Once we arrived at the house we introduced him to our little brood of animals.

He hopped in and got to know each one.  After about an hour we took the muzzle off and let them really acquaint themselves.  There have been no incidences.  We have three male dogs and one female plus a cat.  He is right at home.  Since he has a splint I am not sure we are getting the full Pegasus version but so far he is a very good dog.  He does the typical “lazy hound” routine most of the day.  He loves to lay wherever you are.  If I’m in the kitchen cooking, he is going to be laying right in the middle of it.  He sleeps all night in the crate or out of the crate.  He doesn’t chew or collect items.  He is very affectionate and very curious.  Pegasus is a great dog with a very solid calm temperament.  He is a big boy definitely but so sweet.
